Chigs Parmar

Chigs was born and bred in Leicester. A proud East Midlander with a passion for adventure, travel and food. His love of food came from his childhood where he would often help his mother prepare a feast for family gatherings.

Always active, it was the UK Covid Lockdown of 2020 that had him seek out a new hobby and drew him to baking. He swiftly gained confidence and his bakes evolved rapidly from the basic to the sublime… A year later, and after words of encouragement from friends and family, the self-taught baker applied and subsequently featured on “The Great British Bake Off 2021”, reaching the final no less! He attracted a huge following during the show with his down to earth and relatable personality. Chigs was also recently seen on “The Great British Bake Off's New Year's Special 2023”.

Chigs' passion for food continues to grow - a regular on the food festival circuit, he has built up a large Instagram following as he continues to inspire others to pursue new interests and do something they are passionate about.

Having lost his father at a young age he was over the moon to be announced as an ambassador for Cruse Bereavement Support, a charity helping those come to terms with loss and last year he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the organisation.
