Hatty Ashdown

Hatty is a comedian, writer, broadcaster, actor and telly addict!

She created and co-wrote the Comedy Central sitcom “Give Out Girls” with Big Talk & Popper Pictures - a female-lead, ensemble sitcom inspired by her own time as a promotions girl.

As a stand-up, Hatty delivers a unique brand of comedy that is warm, inclusive, and unpretentious. Performing many times at the Edinburgh fringe, including her critically acclaimed solo show, “Nan-Child”. She runs and comperes the lunchtime gig for parents and babies – Screaming with Laughter – and can be seen gigging at comedy nights in and around London.

Hatty starred in BBC Radio 4’s comedy, “Romance & Adventure” by Josie Long, playing Josie’s loud sister ‘Kerry’. She also played ‘Dawn’ in the sitcom “Marshal’s Law”, a series which was nominated for best new sitcom by the British Comedy Guide.

Hatty hosts the “Other Woman Show” on Soho Radio and “The Funny Mummies Podcast” which was on Spotify’s top 5 funnies list 2020. With a real passion for radio for almost a  decade she has presented features on BBC London radio  (“Hatty’s Haberdashery” and “What’s on TV” guides) and music features for E4 online.

In 2022 Hatty took her heartwarming and some-might-say heartmelting show “The Worry Drawer” to Edinburgh and other festivals around the UK.
