Liam Charles

Liam Charles, or “Cake Boy” to his friends, was the standout star from series 8 of “The Great British Bake Off”.

At 25, the Hackney-born Drama student has been baking for the last nine years and unsurprisingly his first love is cakes.  One of Liam’s passions is ensuring baking is acceptable and popular with younger generations, starting at home with his two nephews.  He sees baking as a universal language that brings people from all walks of life together and loves to inspire passion for it.

Since “Bake Off”, Liam has been busy!  He wrote a column for The Guardian and has written two books: Cheeky Treats and Second Helpings (click links to buy!).

He has presented his own show, “Liam Bakes” on Channel 4, and continues to co-present both “Bake Off: The Professionals” and “Junior Bake Off” on the channel.

Last year he also showed his dancing moves when unmasked as ‘Candlestick’ on “The Masked Dancer”!
