Louie Spence is a much loved and celebrated TV personality, dance expert, choreographer and household name.

Born in London, Louie attended the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, and began working as a backing dancer on tours for artists such as Bjork and The Spice Girls. He also starred in top West-End musicals such as Cats, Closer to Heaven and was part of the award-winning original cast of Miss Saigon.

Louie’s television career began as a judge and mentor on Trouble TV’s “Bump’n’Grind”. Shortly after, Spence became a judge on Sky 1’s “Cirque de Celebrite” from 2006 to 2007, later reprising his role for the American version “Celebrity Circus” for NBC in 2008. However, it is for his appearance in the popular docu-soap series “Pineapple Dance Studios” for Sky 1, which began in 2010, that Louie is most well-known for. As Artistic Director of the Covent Garden dance studio, he made such an impact that he was given his own Sky1 series, “Louie Spence’s Show Business”, in 2011.

It was writing his column for Heat magazine that led to Louie writing his successful autobiography, “Still Got It, Never Lost It!”, published by Harper Collins. Louie was a valued and respected judge for ITV’s popular show “Dancing on Ice” and in 2012, Louie entered “Celebrity Big Brother” making it all the way to a mere two days before the final, surviving three evictions.

In 2015, Louie took part in the second series of Channel 4’s “The Jump” and shortly after, appeared in the musical “The Producers” as ‘Carmen Ghia’ until May of that year.

2016 saw Louie star in Channel 5’s thrilling new four-part series, “Tour De Celeb”, where eight TV personalities had just three months to prepare for the toughest physical and mental challenge on TV. Following this, Louie also unveiled his own Sky1 show, “Louie Spence Taxi Driver”, which followed him on his quest to become a fully-fledged cab driver, much to the delight of the residents of Harlow.

In 2017, Louie joined forces with Kelly Brook and Freddie Flintoff for the Comic Relief “Step Up, Get Down” challenge, which encouraged the nation to get more active whilst raising money for the cause. In addition to the campaign, Louie appeared on BBC One’s “Celebrity Money For Nothing”, Channel 5’s popular hit “Lip Sync Battle” and Channel 4’s “Crystal Maze” in aid of Stand Up To Cancer. Louie also appeared as the Head Judge on “The Dead Factor”, a mockumentary campaign for the Fox Network.

2018 saw Louie compete on Channel 5’s “Celebs on the Farm”, which saw him swap his dancing shoes for wellies and also joined the cast of Channel 4’s “Celebrity Call Centre”, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.

Last year, Louie appeared in Sky TV’s “Help! My House is Haunted” and got to the semi-finals in E4’s Celeb Cooking School - much to his surprise!

In addition to his broadcast credentials, Louie joins the star billing in some of the best pantomimes in the country - at Christmas he sprinkled stardust as the ‘Fairy Godfather’ in Whitley Bay’s “Cinderella” and then in stark contrast played ‘Sheriff of Nottiingham’ in a Easter tour of “Robin Hood”.

Louie is a huge animal lover, and lives in Essex with his beloved dogs, Alba and Lola
