Peter Stringer

Peter is an Irish rugby legend.

With 98 caps for Ireland and 230 appearances for Munster, Peter won numerous trophies throughout a 21 year career. Highlights include the 2009 Grand Slam, three Triple Crowns and the 20006 Heineken Cup.

Known for his tenacious tackling and great ball play from scrum half, Peter was a fan favourite. Maintaining supreme fitness levels meant that he carried on his career until the age of 40, playing in the Premiership with Worcester Warriors following spells at Bath and Sale.

Since retiring in 2018, the third oldest player to play in the Premiership, he has gone on to have a successful career in the media. He is currently working with EirSport as one of the main analysts on their Pro14 coverage and also works across C4s International games and Premiership & European matches for BT Sport.

In 2019 he competed in “Dancing with the Stars” on RTE, wowing the audience with his physique – which he maintains with daily workout sessions.

He works with a number of brands in the fitness, health and wellbeing sectors including Irish Life and Reign Body Fuel.

He is married with one son and another child is due in March 2020.
