Laura Marcus is an award winning actor, writer, director and producer from London. She is the recent recipient of the Best Writer award at the BFI Future Film Festival 2021 for her debut short film “The Massive F*cking Bender” which Laura shot, directed, wrote and performed in herself. She was recently spotlighted by the Evening Standard as one of London’s most “promising young filmmakers” and has since created new work for BBC THREE and Island Records (Universal Music). When Laura isn’t worrying about camera lenses, she is a performer with the musician LYNKS which was named as one of the “NME 100 Essential Emerging Artists for 2021”, and can be seen performing on the main stage at Latitude Festival, the O2 Academy Leeds and Rough Trade later this year. Laura is a 2020 acting graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
