Amy Voce
Amy began her career in radio whilst still finishing her degree at University. Now a Sony and Radio Academy Gold award winning broadcaster, Amy currently makes up one half of the breakfast show ‘Sam and Amy’, alongside fellow client Sam Pinkham. Sam and Amy became the new hosts of the Virgin Radio breakfast show, which launched on Oct 2nd 2017.
In January 2019, Amy moved to the Evening show on Virgin when Chris Evans became the new breakfast presenter. She also has weekend breakfast show and is the regular guest presenter on the lunchtime show.
Sam & Amy began their partnership over twelve years ago on the drive show on Gem 106, progressing to the Breakfast slot within a year, whilst Amy also continued her weekend breakfast show.
Amy’s radio career has spanned over the last ten years, from the Breakfast Show to stints covering on BBC Radio 2 and Magic FM, including several weekend shows and covering drive time..
Alongside radio, Amy can regularly be seen on Music TV channels ‘Now TV’ and ‘Chilled TV’, counting down the charts as well as interviewing numerous artists.
A huge fan of podcasts, Amy recently produced, presented and launched her own podcast ‘Two Non Blondes’; a show described as a ‘more accessible Woman’s Hour’, exploring topics from social and cultural pressures to reality TV, along with interviews with inspiring and celebrity guests.
A passionate fan of travel, Amy is rarely in one place and craves exploration. All of which is reflected on her lifestyle blog, where she was recently invited to review hotels and restaurants on trips to Amsterdam, Paris and Mykonos. As a keen writer, Amy has contributed pieces to national publications Reveal Magazine and Sound Women UK.
As well as dominating the airwaves, Amy has hosted a wide variety of events; a Q and A session with Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, a race day with Formula One team ‘Force India’ at the British Grand Prix, the Splendour Music Festival, Clothes Show Live at the NEC and the first ever Red Bull Rapids at Holme Pierrepont.
Aside from work, Amy is particularly passionate about helping to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer after losing her father to the disease when she was aged 26.
After creating and distributing a charity calendar raising over £20,000 for Prostate Cancer UK, always up for challenge, Amy embarked on a 400km bike ride across the US, adding another £10,000 to the amount. Following this, Amy worked closely with Movember UK as an ambassador, sharing her story and encouraging other men and women to address the issue
When not working, Amy will be found either on a road trip, scouring food markets or in a warehouse scavenging through bargain vintage finds for one of her property projects.
